Mark Kramer will give his annual presentation Creating an IRS Tax Return Using Turbo Tax 2004. At the conclusion the floor will be opened for general PC questions, followed by the monthly drawing.

Thursday, March 3rd @ 2 P.M. Macintosh Users Group
As usual the February meeting will start with an informal open forum prior to the main presentation - for all participants, all levels of expertise - for problem solving and sharing information. Doors open at 1:30. Jack Hennessy will present "Basics of Text Handling & Word Processing". Highlights will include:
o Text Entry and Selection
o Fonts, Formatting and Special Characters
o Page Layout
o Tabs and Alignment
o Headers and Footers
o Tables and Columns
o Find and Replace
o Spelling and Thesaurus.
Word processing has to do with the preparation of more-or-less formal documents to be shared with others or archived. Whereas text handling is used to prepare and send e-mail, to enter a website URL and/or an ID and password on the screen, to copy and save text from a website, to enter shipping and credit card info on a website, to write and save a small note or clipping as a memory jogger, etc. etc. etc. This presentation will discuss techniques and shortcuts to make both of these processes routine and unstressful.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Mark Ratto will present Part 3 of a 4-part presentation covering a wide range of topics that Novices should learn in order to use their computers effectively. Topics covered will include:
o Using a word processor to write letters
o Finding your way around a Word Processor program
o How to save what you have typed
o Printing your document

o Editing and deleting data
o Cutting, copying & pasting data
