SEPTEMBER MEETING SCHEDULE

“MARK YOUR CALENDARS”

A DRAWING FOR A FREE COMPUTER RELATED ITEM (minimum value $20.00) will be held at every General Meeting. Our goals are to increase our membership, elicit more membership participation, and make better use of the Internet’s vast resources. We are still the best computer education deal in the area. Club membership is only $15 per year. Computer Club meetings start at 2 p.m. Joslyn Center doors open at 1:30 p.m. for set up and idea sharing. Members are cordially invited to attend all meetings. There will be a question and answer session prior to the start of the meeting.

Thursday, September 2nd @ 2 P.M. “NOVICE MEETING”
The Novice Meeting will be held in the Joslyn Center Conference Room at 2:00pm (doors open at 1:30). The topic will be “Sharing our latest favorite Enet site and experiences”. We all should be able to learn from each other with the unlimited possibilities of the Enet. This will be an interactive session with all attendees participating that want to. Bring all your questions & even your computer if you wish. As usual, there will be an open forum at 1:30 pm prior to the main topic, for questions and exchange of ideas. Arrive early to listen in or participate.

Thursday, September 9th @ 2 P.M. “MAC MEETING”
The Cambria Computer Club September 2010 Mac Users meeting will be held on Thursday the 9th in the Joslyn Center Conference Room at 2:00pm (doors open at 1:30). The topic will be "Mac OS X Freeware 2010", presented by Jack Hennessy. In this annual survey, Jack will discuss and/or demonstrate a number of useful and frivolous OS X applications that you can download and use at no charge. He'll also discuss the origins of and pitfalls in some of these packages and why you might want to exercise caution.
As usual, there will be an open forum prior to the main topic presentation, for questions and exchange of ideas. Arrive early to listen in or participate. Any questions contact Jack at aonghus@alumni.calpoly.edu
 


Thursday, September 16th @ 2 P.M. “GENERAL MEETING”
The General Meeting will be held in the Joslyn Center Main Room at 2:00pm (doors open at 1:30). The meeting topic will be “photographing wild flowers” by Peter Boonisar. Teaching people to understand photography & how many aspects there are is his passion. Here is a direct quote from Peter, “I’m understanding of your frustrations and have the skills to help you master the techniques needed to transform your snapshots into images. Your increased enjoyment of photography is my primary goal and I will do everything in my power to help you reach that goal.” At the conclusion of the presentation a Q&A session will be conducted, followed by a door prize drawing.
